Six Wolverines Medal At A-D1 State Track And Field Meet

The Dade County High School Track and Field team concluded their season at the GHSA A-D1 State Meet at Barron Stadium in Rome. Eight Wolverines competed and six received medals.
- Winter Daniel – Tied for fourth in the pole vault.
- Tanner Miller – Eighth in the 3200 meters and broke the school record.
- Cash Christiansen – Eighth in 300-meter hurdles.
- Jace Anderson – Fifth in 110-meter hurdles. Eighth in the 300-meter hurdles. It was the third year in a row that he has qualified for the state meet.
The 4×100 meter relay team of Phinehas Doe, Preston Branch, Rock Chaney, and Tanner Miller did not place, but they broke the school record with a time of 8:56.
In addition, the 4×400 meter relay team of Phinehas Doe, Halen Chaney, Cash Christiansen, and Jace Anderson did not place but they broke the school record with a time of 3:35.95.
Tanner Miller broke his father’s record in the 3200 meters. Chris Miller is a 2003 Dade County alum and ran the 3200 meter, 1600 meter, and 800 meter in high school and owns the school records in the 1600 meter and the 800 meters. His son now owns the 3200-meter record.
“We had another great track and field season. Our senior class set a high standard for the future of the sport and will be dearly missed. Thankfully, we have a lot of quality kids that will come back with the hopes of continuing to push track in the right direction. I thank the Dade Community for all their support and look forward to seeing what 2026 will offer,” coach Steve Green said.
