Wolverines Open Regular Season Play Thursday

The Dade County High School Wolverine football team traveled to Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn., Friday night to scrimmage Warren County, Tenn.
The varsity played the first half and came up just short as Warren County came away with the 30-21 win.
Wolverine quarterback Win Garmany had a big night completing 18 of 24 passes for 256 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.
Colton Chase had seven carries for 20 yards to lead the ground attack, while H. Garmany had five receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown; Nate Hurst had six receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown; and Cash Christiansen had one reception for 26 yards and a touchdown.
The Wolverine defense was led by Anderson Windsor with four tackles; H. Garmany two tackles, one for loss; Hurst three tackles; Kolt Owens two tackles.
The Wolverines will open the regular season tomorrow, Aug. 14, at Ringgold High School with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
