DCHS Wins Three Out Of Four

Dade County picked up three wins in four matches last week as the 2025 season got underway. They will be on the road this week with four matches, two at South Pittsburg, Tenn., and two at Ringgold.

The Dade County High School Lady Wolverine volleyball team got off to a good start to the 2025 season last week as they played four matches and picked up three wins.

On Tuesday, Aug. 5, they hosted the Coosa Lady Eagles for their first match of the season and came away winning both sets to take the match 2-0.

Caroline Bell finished with six aces, five digs, 11 kills; Taylor Shrader had four aces, nine digs; Ballard had four digs, three kills; Aubree Smith had one ace, three digs, six kills, eight assist; and Harper Lynch had 11 assists.

The night’s second match had the Lady Wolverines facing Lakeview Ft. Oglethorpe’s Lady Warriors and again Dade County took the match 2-0.

Aubree Smith had three aces, six kills, five assists; Ballard had five aces; Bell had nine kills, four digs; Riley Overdear had three kills, three digs; and Lynch had nine assists.

On Thursday, Aug. 7, the Lady Wolverines traveled to South Pittsburg, Tenn., to face the Lady Indians of Marion County in their first match of the day.

They ran into a very good Lady Indian team and dropped both sets and the match 0-2.
Bell had eight kills, seven digs; Myah York had two aces, five kills, eight assists; Taylor Shrader had eight digs; Smith had four digs; and Lynch had six assists.

Next up for the Lady Wolverines was the South Pittsburg Lady Pirates.

The Lady Wolverines picked up their third win of the week 2-0.

Lynch had three aces, nine kills, 13 assists; Bell had 11 kills, seven digs; York had four aces, five assists; Zabree Campbell had four aces; and Ella Wheeler-McBryar had three aces.

This week, Dade County traveled to South Pittsburg, Tenn., on Tuesday, Aug. 12, and then travels to Ringgold on Thursday, Aug. 14.
