Traditional Area Tournament Begins Friday

The Dade County High School wrestling team finished the dual season this past Friday at Northwest Whitfield High School. The Wolverines wrestled East Ridge, Tenn., Northwest Whitfield, and Christian Heritage.

The Wolverines faced East Ridge first and came away with a 49-27 win.

In their second dual, they faced Northwest Whitfield and lost by the close score of 46-36.

The Wolverines then took an easy win from Christian Heritage in the final dual of the day by the final score of 72-12.

Traditional Area will be this weekend with the girls wrestling at LaFayette High School on Friday and the boys traveling to Coosa High School for the boys’ Traditional.

Watch out for senior Gabriel Yarbrough who enters the Area Tournament undefeated in the heavyweight division!
