Things changed quickly in the bottom of the third when the Lady Royals came to life and scored seven runs to take their first lead of the series, 7-1. The Lady Wolverine defense struggled in the inning making several errors.
Dade County responded by scoring two runs in the top of the fourth to cut the lead to 7-3, but the Lady Royals responded with two runs in the bottom of the fourth to go up 9-3.
The Lady Wolverines pushed across two more runs in the top of the fifth to cut the lead to 9-5 and then held the Lady Royals scoreless in the bottom of the fifth.
Dade exploded in the top of the sixth, pounding out nine hits to go along with three walks and scoring 11 big runs to take the lead, 16-9.
The Lady Royals managed two runs in the bottom of the sixth but that would be all they would get, and the Lady Wolverines claimed the game 16-11 and the series two games to none.
Kaleighly West picked up the win, pitching one and a third innings of relief, giving up no hits. Lawson pitched five and two-thirds innings, giving up five earned runs, 11 total, and striking out five.
