Lady Wolverines Dominate Last Week’s Opponents, Plate 45 Runs In Three Games

The Dade County High School Lady Wolverine softball team put up some big numbers last week as they won all three of their games, none of which lasted the regulation seven innings. They won 12-3, 18-0, and 15-0, scoring an impressive 45 runs and giving up only three as they improved to 16-5 for the season.

On Monday, Sept. 16, they defeated Murray County 12-3 in six innings, picking up 14 hits led by Adilynn Gross with three of those hits and four RBIs. Winter Daniel also had three hits and two RBIs. They also had home runs from Daniel, Isabell White, and Madi Page.
Lexi Lawson picked up the win, pitching all six innings giving up four hits, three runs, two earned, and striking out eight and walking just one.

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, the Lady Wolverines traveled to Gordon Central in Calhoun and came away with a 20-hit, three-inning win. Dade scored 11 runs in the first inning, followed that up with six in the second, and finished off the win with a single run in the third.
Three Lady Wolverine pitchers combed for a one-hit shutout and an easy region victory. Page led the Lady Wolverines with four hits, four RBIs, and scored three runs. Riley Talley had three hits, two RBIs, and scored one run. Taylix Harvey also had three hits and scored two runs.
All the Lady Wolverines saw action in the three-inning game.

The Lady Wolverines hosted Fannin County on Sept. 19, a team they had defeated by just a single run a couple of weeks ago. That would not be the case on this day. Dade County continued their hot streak, pounding out 17 hits that produced 15 runs in the three-inning game with a final score of 15-0.
In the week’s three games, Dade scored 45 runs on 51 hits and gave up just three runs.
In the Fannin County game, DCHS was led by Lawson with three hits and four RBIs to go along with her three-shutout innings on the mound, giving up just two hits and striking out four. Page also had three hits, scored three runs, and had one RBI.

This week, the Lady Wolverines hosted the Lady Indians of Chattooga on Tuesday. Dade  travels to Armuchee on Thursday with first pitch at 5:30 p.m. Both of those games are region games as the season is winding down and the playoffs are just around the corner.
