Lady Wolverines Get Two Wins On The Court Against North Murray

Photo by Eddy Gifford – The Lady Wolverines’ Caroline Bell went high for the kills in volleyball action last week against North Murray. The Lady Wolverines defeated the visitors from Chatsworth in two sets to claim the match. They also defeated them on Tuesday and dropped a match to Christian Heritage.
The Dade County Lady Wolverine volleyball team had four big matches last week, opening with Christian Heritage. Dade dropped the match 0-2, losing the first set 18-25 and the second set 19-25.
Facing Christian Heritage, Alyson Jenkins had nine digs, Caroline Bell had eight kills, and Azairah Reed had 11 assists.
Next up was North Murray. The Lady Wolverines rebounded and won the match in two sets, 25-22 and 25-15.
Bell led the way with seven kills and six digs, Myah York had five kills, Reed 14 assists, Riley Overdear four aces, and Alyson Jenkins nine digs.
On Thursday, the Lady Wolverines returned home for a rematch with North Murray.
The results were the same: the Lady Wolverines took the match in two sets, winning 25-12 and 25-19.
Bell led with 11 kills. Reed had 15 assists and five aces.
This week, the Lady Wolverines traveled to Armuchee to face the Lady Indians and Rockmart on Tuesday and then will host Fannin County and Ringgold on Thursday, Aug. 29 with matches starting at 5 and 7 p.m.
