DCHS Volleyball Season Begins Aug. 6

The Dade County High School Lady Wolverine volleyball team will be taking the court soon as the 2024 season gets underway on Aug. 6 when they will travel to South Pittsburg, Tenn. On Aug. 8 they will travel to Coahulla Creek and will have their first home games on Aug. 12 when they host South Pittsburg at 5 p.m. and Marion County at 6 p.m.

Coach Carrie Morris shared some insight on this year’s team as they prepare for the season.

“This year’s team will be young. We have three returning seniors that we are expecting to give us a lot of minutes. They are Alyson Jenkins, Azairah Reed, and Bri Marlowe.

“We have some younger girls that we are going to be relying on for major minutes as well. We have more to learn and experience, but they have been putting in the time in the gym this summer and the weight room and we are expecting them to continue working to get better as the season progresses,” coach Morris said.
