Track Meet on March 28

The Dade County Wolverine track and field team ran at Gordon Lee on Thursday, March 28, for the annual Gordon Lee Invitational. Schools present were Dade County (A), Cedartown (AAAA). Southeast Whitfield (AAAA), LaFayette (AAA), Gordon Lee (AAA), Lakeview (AAA), and Northwest Whitfield (AAAA).
“We went against the best competition we will see besides region. Cedartown and the Whitfield County schools are traditionally very strong track programs, but Dade showed that our small school has a good track team as well. I am proud of our kids and community,” coach Steve Green said.

Dade County took second place with 94 points while Cedartown took first place with 125 points and Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe took third place with 77 points in the boy’s competition. The Lady Wolverines finished fourth with 82 points with Cedartown (125) first; Northwest Whitfield (98) second, and Southeast Whitfield (94) third.
Dade County will be at home on April 12 for the Tri-State Run beginning at 4 p.m.
