Dade County has over 80 athletes participating this season in grades 6-12. The Dade County Trials is a track meet meant to bring the entire program together and allow the community to see the students do special things athletically. It also gives all of the athletes a chance to try any event they wish and as many events as they want.
“This is the most excited I have been in my 18 years of coaching track and field. The support from the community has been wonderful. We have grown so quickly in three years in volume and quality of performance. We have eight coaches on staff including a full set of middle school coaches. Coach Jonathan Gann, Kaelin Dupree, and Daniel Goff have done an exceptional job of working with our new young athletes. We have several coaches that volunteer many hours at practices and track meets to make this sport relevant,” coach Steve Green said.
Results from the meet were:
Female High School Team Scores: Dade County 132; North Sand Mountain 35; Cornerstone Christian 23.
