Sport Teams Back in Action Following Christmas Break

The Dade County Wolverine sport teams got a much need break during the Christmas holidays. They continued to work but did not have a lot of game action but that is over now, and play starts back this week.

The Wolverine wrestling team returned to the mat on Friday, Dec. 29 at Sonoraville and resumed action on Tuesday, Jan. 2 when they traveled to LaFayette to face the Ramblers. On Friday, Jan. 4, they will travel to Trion High School to battle the Bulldogs.

The Wolverine basketball teams will be back in action this week when they host the Darlington Tigers on Friday, Jan. 5, with the Lady Wolverines tipping it off at 6 p.m., followed by the Wolverines with a 7:30 p.m. start.

They will return to the court on Saturday, Jan. 6, when they host the Armuchee Indians. Game times are 6 p.m. for the Lady Wolverines and 7:30 p.m. for the Wolverines.

Then on Tuesday, Jan. 9, the Wolverines will travel to Trion to face the Bulldogs with the Lady Wolverines tipping it off at 6 p.m. and the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m.

All three of these games are key region seven match ups.
