Dade County High School senior Kayleigh Warnock was named to the Georgia 1A Softball First Team recently. Warnock finished this year with 17 wins and 152 strikeouts. Her career stats as a Lady Wolverine included 67 wins and 427 strikeouts.
Warnock also recently, along with teammate KK Castleberry, signed with Northeast Alabama College to continue their education and softball careers.
Warnock signed as a pitcher and Castleberry as a utility player.
Lady Wolverine coach Stephen Graham said, “The two seniors had a great season leading the Lady Wolverines. Both worked extremely hard at practice getting better as the season went on. Castleberry started the season really hot at the plate and stayed very consistent in the field all year long. She also made first team all-region.”
“Warnock ended up leading our team offensively with a batting average of 500 along with having her strongest year in the circle. She also led all A-D1 in strikeouts and was named Pitcher of the Year in Region 7,” Graham added.
Congratulations to these two Lady Wolverines and good luck in the future!
