Lady Wolverines Dominate Match Against Hamilton Heights Christian Academy

The Dade County High School Lady Wolverine volleyball team faced Hamilton Heights Christian Academy on Tuesday, Aug. 24, and came away with big wins in both sets, 25-9, taking the match 2-0.

Brooklyn Konrad had five aces, three kills, and one dig; Azairah Reed had 13 assists, one kill, and two aces; Alyson Jenkins had three aces and four digs; Anna Ballard had four digs, five kills, one ace; Isabella Blake had four kills, one assist.

On Aug. 26 the Lady Wolverines faced off against Rome High School and dropped the match 2-1, losing the first set 25-15 winning the second set 25-18 and then dropping the third set 14-12.

Ballard had four kills, four assists, nine digs; Reed had 12 assist, four digs, one kill; Blake had four kills; Konrad had seven kills, one ace.

Next up for the Lady Wolverines was Sand Rock High School and they dropped the match 2-0 losing 25-15 and 25-22.

Reed had 15 assists, one ace, five digs; Ballard had seven digs, one kill, one ace; Jenkins had three aces, nine digs; Alabama McPhetridge had four digs.

Their final match of the week came against Temple High School, and Dade dropped the match 2-1, losing the first set 25-19, winning the second set 25-13 and dropping the third set 15-9.

Jenkins had ten digs, two assists, one kill; Ballard had seven digs, three kills, two assists; Reed had six digs, seven assists, two kills.

This week the Lady Wolverines traveled to Marion County on Monday and Gordon Lee on Tuesday. Dade will return home on Thursday to host Trion and Ft. Payne Thursday with matches scheduled for 5 and 7 p.m.
