If you are one of those people who cannot wait for football season to come, I have some good news for you! You can get a summer football fix this month and next that just might carry you through until the season starts.

This week, the Dade County High School Wolverine football team begins their march toward what could be a third straight playoff appearance.

In addition to summer workouts, the Wolverines will host LaFayette on June 15 for a 7-on-7 match–up. Then, on June 21, they will travel to the University of Georgia to compete in a 7-on-7 tournament and lineman challenge.

They will wrap up June by hosting Lakeview/Ft. Oglethorpe on June 29 for a 7-on-7 to close out June workouts.

July will be just as busy for the Wolverines as they will host 10 schools for a 7-on-7 coming up on July 13. The team will travel to Temple for a padded camp on July 18, and then travel to Ringgold for a 7-on-7 tournament on July 20.

That should get all you football fans ready for “Meet the Wolverines” on Aug. 4, and the 2023 season will kick off with a scrimmage at Lakeview/Ft. Oglethorpe on Aug. 11.

The 2023 season will open on the road when the Wolverines travel to Athens to face Athens Academy on Friday, Aug. 18.

The Wolverines will then play their first home game on Friday, Aug.25 when they host Marion County.

September will see the Wolverines host North Sand Mountain on Sept. 1; host Bowden on Sept. 15; travel to Darlington on Sept. 22; host Trion on Sept. 29; travel to Coosa on Oct. 18; host Chattooga on Oct. 22; travel to Pepperell on Oct. 27; and host Armuchee on Nov. 3.

Make your plans now to get out and support Wolverine football all summer and fall!

Good luck to the Wolverines as they prepare for another successful football season and another playoff season.
