Henry Named to ASUN All–Conference Teams

Photo courtesy of Carissa Holt – Former Lady Wolverine Stella Henry made the catch for the Owls of Kennesaw State recently. The center fielder and lead-off hitter had an outstanding freshman year being named to the ASUN All Conference Freshman Team and the ASUN All Conference Second Team.

Stella Henry, a 2022 graduate of Dade County High School, just completed her first season as a member of the Kennesaw State Owls softball team. Despite battling injuries during the season, she had an outstanding freshman year.

Henry was named to the 2023 ASUN (Atlantic Sun Conference) All-Conference Second Team as well as the 2023 ASUN All-Conference Freshman Team.

She played center field for the Owls and was also the leadoff hitter during the season, playing in 49 games and starting 47.

Henry was impressive on the field, committing only one error and finishing the season with a 988-fielding percentage.

At the plate, she had a 310-batting average with 145 at bats, scoring 22 runs and 45 hits. She also walked 13 times and finished the season with an impressive 367 on base percentage.

Showing off her speed on the bases, she finished the season with 16 stolen bases in 18 attempts to lead the team.

Overall, it was an outstanding season for the freshman from Dade County who has a bright future with the Owls.
