Spring Football Game is Friday

The Dade County High School football team began spring practice on May 1 as it looks to replace several key players from last year’s team.

The first area of concern is the quarterback position. Two–year starter Brody Cooper is graduating, and he left big shoes to fill. Bryson Shrader and Justin Bradford have both split time so far this spring, and both will see equal time in the spring game.

Defensively, the Wolverines return several starters as Eli Kimball, Caleb Massey, Braylon Sullivan, Landon Williams, Levi Raines, and Jax Guinn will be back.

The Wolverines have also added a new coach on the defensive side of the ball as former Chattooga head coach Shawn Peek will help Jason Monday coordinate the defense in 2023.

Offensively, the Wolverines return several players will big play potential. Demetrius Walker, Evan Koger, Caleb Massey, Braylon Sullivan, and Landon Williams will all get touches this season as the Wolverines look to spread the ball around.

The Wolverines travel to Southeast Whitfield this Friday to play the Raiders at 7:30 p.m.
