Wolverines Hosting Invitational April 14

The Dade County High School Wolverine track team participated in the Gordon Lee Invitational meet last week and came away with another good showing that they continue to improve with each meet.

The meet had 11 schools competing, and the Wolverine boys finished fourth overall as a team. The three schools that beat the Wolverines were all AAAA schools (Southeast Whitfield, Heritage, Northwest Whitfield).

First place finishes got medals.

Senior Ian Byrd – first place pole vault.

Junior Raegan Page – first place pole vault.

Senior Brody Cooper – first place 300 hurdles.

Freshman Savannah Wolfe set a new school record in the 100 hurdles with a 20.69.

Team members set ten personal records at the meet as well.

The Wolverines next meet will be at home at the Dade County Tri-State Invitational Friday, April 14, at 4 p.m.
