Lady Wolverines are Region Champions

Dade County High School’s girls’ soccer team are region champions in 7A D1, with a record of 7-0. The team will host the first round of state playoffs on Tuesday, April 11. Come out to support. Congratulations to the Lady Wolverines soccer team! They finished off a perfect season in region play on Thursday, March 30 by defeating Armuchee 4-0 and claiming the 2023 Region 7A-D1 title. Way to represent Dade County on and off the field.

The Lady Wolverines finished the season with an overall record of 13–2.  The team’s only two losses coming to Dalton and Coahulla Creek, two soccer powerhouses in northwest Georgia.

The Lady Wolverines will host a first-round playoff match on Tuesday, April 11, with game time to be announced. Let’s fill Magic Morgan Stadium for these ladies making full use of the term, home field advantage.

In action last week, the Lady Wolverines picked up a region win to claim the championship.

Highlights of that game:
The Lady Wolverines finished their regular season with a win at region foe Armuchee on Thursday, March 30. First half goals were scored by Caroline Tremmier (assisted by Lila Evearitt) and Lila Evearitt (assisted by Kinsley Pryor).

Second half goals were scored by Anna Ballard (assisted by Caroline Tremmier) and Abby Dwyer (assisted by Lila Evearitt). Abbigail Tremmier posted another shutout in goal with the defensive help of Madeline Jelley, Blythe Jelley, Ayden Miles, Maddie Cuzzort, Chloe Ballard, and Alyson Jenkins.

The win moves the Lady Wolverines to 13 wins, 2 losses on the season and gives them an unblemished region record, in which they only allowed one goal, of 7 wins and 0 losses.
