Power Lifters Raising Awareness for Veterans’ Mental Health
Mountain View Christian Academy’s power lifting team has committed to rucking 48 miles in the month of March to raise awareness for military veterans’ mental health. The team is supporting Mission 22. Mission 22 supports veteran mental health, and the 22 represent the number of veterans lost daily to veteran suicide. As our men and women come home, the battle rages on for many. The team consists of 12 students from Mountain View Christian Academy. The team is participating in a 35-mile ruck this upcoming weekend to support the cause and is looking for future opportunities to support additional mission work through fitness. The teams’ motto is “one team – one family.” Pictured from left are Brenden McCowan, Lilly Jones, Laney Cash, Ethan Icenogle, Grant Doris, Isaac Miller, Zeke Miller, Grace Doris, Bella Jones, Joshua Campbell, Coy Miller, and Jaden Dalton.
