The Bulldogs built their lead early in the fourth quarter only to see the Wolverines put on a furious comeback led by Brody Cooper who hit three, three-point shots late in the game and then they had a three-point shot rimmed out at the buzzer that would have tied the game.

In the end, the Wolverines came up short, falling 56-53 to Trion and having to settle for the fourth seed in the upcoming state tournament.

Cooper led all scorers with 25 points, hitting five three-point shots in the game. Bryson Shrader finished the night with ten points and Levi Moreland finished with nine points.
