Oakwood settled in some in the second quarter while the Wolverines cooled off and at the end of the first half, they were up 36-16.

The Wolverines, who did not have a good night, did settle in some in the second quarter despite Darlington continuing the full court press. At the end of the first half the Tigers led 59-14.

Again, in the third quarter Darlington continued to press and built the lead to 89-28 at the end of the third quarter.

The Tigers went on to win the game 100-36, pressing for three quarters and having eight players hit three-point shots, 14 total in the game.

Coach Kevin Templeton stated, ”They were a good team, but we played poorly.”

Brody Cooper and Ben Williams had eight points each to lead the Wolverines.

Dade took the early lead and at the end of the first quarter were up 14-10.

The Wolverines continued to play with confidence in the second quarter and by the end of the first half had built the lead to seven points, 27-20.

Dade continued to play well in the third quarter and heading into the fourth quarter were up 42-36.

Picking up the pace in the fourth quarter, the Wolverines built on their lead but then saw the Indians cut that lead to just four points midway through the quarter. Dade rallied back and came away with a big 65-54 win.

Seniors Brody Cooper and Levi Moreland combined for 31 second half points and finished with 26 and 19 respectively to lead the team.

“It was a good bounce back win for the good guys,” coach Templeton said.
