Wolverines Down Eagles, Indians
The Wolverine basketball team hosted Oakwood Christian Academy after coming back from Christmas break.
Dade came out firing on all cylinders and quickly took a commanding lead over the visitors from Chickamauga. The Wolverines dominated the first quarter 22-5 for a big 17-point lead.
Oakwood settled in some in the second quarter while the Wolverines cooled off and at the end of the first half, they were up 36-16.
The third quarter was won by Oakwood 13-12, but Dade was still in control leading 48-29.

It was all Wolverines again in the fourth quarter when they outscored the visitors 22-6 and cruised to an easy 70-35 win.
Dade had 10 players score in the game including Brody Cooper with 16, Conner Wilburn with 10, and Levi Moreland with nine.

The Wolverines traveled to Darlington last Friday night in a region game.
The Tigers came out in a full court press and dominated Dade, taking a 30-1 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Wolverines, who did not have a good night, did settle in some in the second quarter despite Darlington continuing the full court press. At the end of the first half the Tigers led 59-14.
Again, in the third quarter Darlington continued to press and built the lead to 89-28 at the end of the third quarter.
The Tigers went on to win the game 100-36, pressing for three quarters and having eight players hit three-point shots, 14 total in the game.
Coach Kevin Templeton stated, ”They were a good team, but we played poorly.”
Brody Cooper and Ben Williams had eight points each to lead the Wolverines.

The Wolverines were back in action on Saturday night when they traveled to Armuchee in a battle for fifth place in region.
Dade took the early lead and at the end of the first quarter were up 14-10.
The Wolverines continued to play with confidence in the second quarter and by the end of the first half had built the lead to seven points, 27-20.
Dade continued to play well in the third quarter and heading into the fourth quarter were up 42-36.
Picking up the pace in the fourth quarter, the Wolverines built on their lead but then saw the Indians cut that lead to just four points midway through the quarter. Dade rallied back and came away with a big 65-54 win.
Seniors Brody Cooper and Levi Moreland combined for 31 second half points and finished with 26 and 19 respectively to lead the team.
“It was a good bounce back win for the good guys,” coach Templeton said.

This week the Wolverines travel to Pepperell on Friday for a 7:30 p.m., tip–off.
On Saturday DCHS will host Sale Creek in a non-region game at 6 p.m.
