This turned out to be a very competitive game with the Wolverines taking the lead at the end of the first quarter, 10-9.

The pace picked up in the second quarter as the Pirates outscored Dade 16-15 to tie the game at the end of the first half, 25-25.

The game slowed in the second half as both teams played good defense, which made scoring difficult. At the end of the third quarter, South Pittsburg managed to build a four-point lead, outscoring the Wolverines 14-10 and leading 39-35.

Only 15 points were scored in the fourth quarter, 8-7 in favor of the Pirates who pulled out the victory over the Wolverines 47-42.

Conner Wilburn led Dade’s scoring with 11 points, the only Wolverine to score in double figures.
