Unfortunately, the Lady Wolverines did not have a good night and fell to the visitors from Rome by the final score of 48-22. Konrad finished with nine points to lead the Lady Wolverines.
The Dade County High School Lady Wolverine basketball team hosted the Pepperell Lady Dragons last Friday night in the first home game of the season as well as the first region game of the season.
While expectations were high, the Lady Wolverines never got on track as they had trouble scoring and finding their identity.
During the early going, neither team was able to score with any consistency, and midway through the first quarter, the game was tied 2-2.
The Lady Dragons would rally late in the quarter and came away with a 13-4 lead over the Dade.
The second quarter was a small improvement for the Lady Wolverines, scoring seven points, but Pepperell managed 13 and led at the end of the first half, 26-11.
When you thought things could not get any worse, Dade managed just two third-quarter points while the Lady Dragons scored 13 for the third quarter in a row and led 39-13.
In the fourth quarter, the Lady Wolverines managed the most points of any quarter scoring nine but so did Pepperell and they dropped their first region game of the season by the final score of 48-22.
