Football Players Named to All–Region Teams, Cooper is Athlete of the Year

The football season ended for the Dade County Wolverines several weeks ago, but the awards of their hard work are being rewarded.

The first football awards were announced last week with the All-Region A-D1 Region 7 teams being announced.

Senior Wolverine Brody Cooper was named Athlete of the Year.

Named to the First Team All-Region Offense were senior Zeke Wheeler (athlete) and Andrew Buffington (offensive line).

Named to the First Team All-Region Offense were seniors Braylen Sullivan (running back) and Zack Counts (offensive line).

Named to the First Team All-Region Defense was junior Landon Williams (line backer).

Named to the Second Team All-Region was freshman Levi Raines (defensive line) and junior Jax Guinn (line backer).

The Wolverines were also well represented by Honorable Mention selections, seniors Kade Pardue (defensive back) and Lucas Costley (defensive end); juniors Caleb Massey (safety) and Eli Kimball (defensive end); and sophomore Demetrius Walker (wide receiver).
