Dade County High School Lady Wolverine soccer team finished off a big year in April and reaped the benefits recently when several were named to the 7-AA Girls All-Region Team.

Selected to the All-Region First Team were Lady Wolverines Anna Ballard and Blythe Jelley. Ballard is currently a sophomore mid–fielder on the team, her second year as a starter while Jelley joined the Lady Wolverines this season as a junior. Her skills as a defender required opponents to work for every goal.

Sophomore Caroline Tremmier was named to the All-Region second team. Her aggressive play as a mid–fielder kept pressure on opponents all season long.

Players recognized on the All-Region Honorable Mention were Delaynee Davis, Lila Everaritt and Abbigail Tremmier.

The Lady Wolverines finished third in region 7-AA play this season and won the first-round game against Calloway to advance to the Sweet Sixteen where they fell to Lamar County 2-0.
