Lady Wolverines Advance To Elite Eight

The Dade County High School Lady Wolverine soccer team accomplished another first last week when they defeated Worth County 2-1 in a tough, nail-biting match.

With the win, the Lady Wolverines advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in school history. Congratulations, Lady Wolverines!

Madeline Jelley scored the first Dade County goal in the first half for a 1-0 lead that held up the remainder of the first half.

Pardue gave up only one goal in the 2-1 win. With the win, the Lady Wolverines advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in school history! Congratulations to the Lady Wolverine soccer team! They traveled to Social Circle on Monday, May 5, to face the Lady Redskins. Results were not available at press time. See next week’s Sentinel for results.

Early in the second half, Kamryn Morris scored on a beautiful shot at the beginning of the second half for a 2-0 lead.

Worth County cut the lead to one when they scored midway through the second half to make it 2-1.

The Lady Wolverine defense, led by freshman Kailey Pardue, shut down the Lady Rams the rest of the game, claiming the win 2-1 and advanced to the Elite Eight.

DCHS traveled to Social Circle on Monday, May 5, looking to advance to the Final Four. Results of the game were not available at press time and will be reported in next week’s Sentinel.

The Lady Wolverines entered the game as the fifth seed while Social Circle entered as the fourth seed. The winner will advance to the Final Four and will play the winner of Bremen and Lamar County on Thursday, May 8.
