The Dade County Lady Wolverine basketball team traveled to Armuchee on Monday, Dec. 16, to face the Lady Indians in a region game.

Dade County started slow but managed to stay with the Lady Indians most of the first quarter and ended down by five points, 15-10.

The second quarter was the difference in the game as the Lady Wolverines went ice cold shooting the ball, managing just five points in the quarter while Armuchee scored 14 to take the lead at the end of the first half, 29-15.

Dade got it together in the second half, playing good defense, scoring better, and beginning to cut into the Lady Indian lead. After three quarters of play, the Lady Wolverines trailed 39-28.

DCHS continued to battle in the fourth quarter, but the bad second quarter was too much to overcome. They managed to outscore Armuchee 14-11 in the final quarter, but it was not enough, and they fell to the Lady Indians 50-42.

Adilynn Gross led the Lady Wolverines with 13 points, six rebounds, and six steals. Makensy Cooper scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds, while Riley Talley scored nine points, grabbed four rebounds, and had four steals.

Dade – Pardue, Hughes 2, Edwards 7, Cooper 9, Talley 9, Chambers, Gross 13, Morris, Campbell, Daniels 2.

Due to an early press deadline because of Christmas, these were the only game stats were available. See next week’s Sentinel for more Lady Wolverine basketball action.
