Reed Leads DCHS Volleyball Team To Win Over Marion Co.

The Dade County Lady Wolverine volleyball team hosted Marion County on Aug. 12 and came away with a win defeating the Lady Warriors in two sets, 25-18 and 25-11.

Azairah Reed led the Lady Wolverines with 14 assists, three aces, and nine kills. Alyson Jenkins had five digs, while Aubree Smith had four digs.

On Aug. 15, the Lady Wolverines traveled to LaFayette to face the Lady Ramblers and the Lady Tigers of Ringgold.

In the Ringgold match, the Lady Wolverines dropped the first set 25-18 and the second set 25-13 and the match 2-0.

Reed again led the Lady Wolverines with seven assists, four digs, and three aces. Caroline Bell had five kills, and five digs.

Dade then faced the Lady Ramblers of LaFayette and dropped the first set 25-17 and the second set 25-23.

Taylor Shrader had six digs while Myah York had three kills, and Alyson Jenkins had four digs and one kill.

This week, the Lady Wolverines traveled to Christian Heritage on Tuesday and then will be at home on Thursday facing Dalton Academy and North Murray. Thursday’s matches will start at 5 and 7 p.m.
