My name is Terry Powell, and I am seeking another term as City of Trenton Parks and Recreation Commissioner. I have been a city resident for 47 years. I am married to Phyllis Powell and have one son named Tyler Powell. I have coached, managed, and been involved with many athletic programs in Dade County. Having grown up in Dade County, I have a deep respect for the people of this community. I feel every person should be treated with respect.

While holding this position, many improvements have been accomplished at the City of Trenton Park. These are a few of the improvements completed during my tenure: new ADA compliant playground with pour in place turf made from recycled materials, ADA railed entrance to park, ADA compliant pool lift, pavilion and concession area added to the pool, parking area expanded and paved, concreate walkways added to park area, a paved parking lot entering the park, new LED lights added to the softball field, heating and air added to the bathrooms at the park, changing tables added to all bathrooms at the park, and the land behind the park was cleared allowing access to the nearby shopping center.
