Mike Norris

My name is Michael “Mike” Norris, and it has been both an honor and a privilege to serve as your Police Commissioner here in the City of Trenton. With your continued support, I look forward to the opportunity to serve our community for another term.

For those who may not know me, I have dedicated my life to public service. I bring over 31 years of combined law enforcement experience at both city and county levels. I was humbled to receive the American Police Life-Saving Award in 2010, and I have also had the privilege of helping to restore the North Dade Volunteer Fire Department, where I proudly served more than 20 years as Assistant Fire Chief and Chairman of the Board. In addition to my experience in public service, I also owned and operated a surplus salvage auction business from 1990 to 2017.

As your commissioner, I have stood firm on keeping our millage rate low while securing the modern vehicles and equipment our officers need to serve with strength and efficiency.

I remain committed to keeping our city safe, strong, and moving forward. I believe in duty, accountability, and service to the people. Trenton deserves leaders who act with resolve and who put the safety and well-being of the community first. I am committed to that mission, and I ask for your continued support as we move forward together.
