Fourth Of July Fun At The Fair

Photo courtesy of 1945 Fair. This year’s 1945 Fair saw 8,400 people come through Jenkins park over the course of the day. Using the Placer.ai database, Evan Stone was able to report that these fairgoers came from across the region, from Alabama to Marion County and Chattanooga, Tenn. The day’s festivities began early with the annual softball tournament. Then, during the opening ceremonies, Donna Street was crowned as the 2025 Fair Queen. Lastly, the celebratory day ended with headlining band Exile and a fireworks display. Shown here with State Rep. Mike Cameron, the Dade County Schools principals and superintendent competed in the Redneck Games. Attendees are asked to complete a survey about the event at 1945fair.com/rate-the-1945fair.
