ED KING
Ed King, a longtime resident of Dade County, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025.
Known for his sharp wit, generous spirit, and deep roots in the community, Ed touched the lives of many.
He was preceded in death by his best friend, Dick “Deadeye” Hamilton, with whom he shared a lifetime of stories, laughter, and friendship.
Survivors include his grandson, Brandon Christopher King and wife Michelle; granddaughter, Lauren; extended family.

DONNA KONKEL
Donnamarie “Donna” Jean Konkel, 75, of Menlo, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025.
Born Sept. 28, 1949, in Southampton, N.Y., Donna spent most of her life in New York before settling on Lookout Mountain in Menlo where she enjoyed a quieter pace of life surrounded by nature. A true animal lover, Donna had a special place in her heart for dogs and spent much of her life rescuing and caring for them. She was also a gifted artist, known for her beautiful landscape and portrait paintings that captured both scenery and spirit with grace. Earlier in life, Donna traveled across the country working with the Silver Dollar Shows carnival, where she brought joy to many as a game attendant. Her adventurous spirit and kind heart left an impression wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Helen Trimpin; siblings, Margie Parent, Barbara Reichardt, Dorothy Muller, and Joseph Trimpin Jr.
Survivors include her sons, James, John, David, and Tommy Davis; grandchildren, Kylie Joan, Savannah Lin, Damin Lee, Ryan Andrew, Carl, Joshua, Caleb, Kaitlyn, and Julia Davis; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, Donna will be cremated, and no formal services will be held.

BRUCE MOORE
Bruce David Moore, 59, of Knoxville, Tenn., passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Born on July 3, 1965, in Fort Oglethorpe, Bruce was the son of David Moore and the late Nellie Marie Baugh Moore. He was raised in Trenton, where he formed lifelong friendships and fond memories before moving to Knoxville to pursue his career. Following his graduation from college, Bruce began a long and distinguished career with the FBI. He was deeply committed to his work and was known for his integrity, dedication, and quiet strength. Respected by his peers and cherished by those who knew him, Bruce’s impact extended far beyond his professional accomplishments.
Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Moore.
Survivors include his father, David Moore; sister, Teresa (Hugh) Pinkleton; niece, Ashley Pinkleton; great-niece, Shyia; extended family members.
Funeral services were noon Monday, June 30, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Interment was at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

JIMMY PHILLIPS
Jimmy Lee Phillips, 40, of Higdon, Ala., passed away Friday, June 27, 2025.
Jimmy enjoyed the outdoors, playing with his chickens, rooting on the Tennessee Volunteers, or gaming on his PlayStation.
He is preceded in death by his father, Glen Phillips; nephew; Daniel Ray Spurgin, Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Rebecca (Rick) Largent; sisters, April (Mitchell) Helton, Jeanette (Jason) Phillips, Glenda (Kelly) Nation, Grace Smith, Paisley York, and Marley York; brother, Vincent York; nephew, Anthony Nation; niece, Jonah Nation; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life was Sunday, June 29, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ray Williams officiating.
