TUCKER CAMPBELL
Manuel Tucker Campbell, 16, of Trenton, on Monday, July 7, 2025.
Tucker was born on March 2, 2009, in Ft. Oglethorpe, to Alisha Campbell. He was a rising sophomore at Dade County High School where he played football and ran track. He loved Star Wars, playing Fortnite, and had a great sense of humor. Tucker had a special way of letting his family and friends know they were loved by his hugs. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, James and Jewel Clark, Manuel Royce and Olene Campbell, and Ronnie Gibson; uncle, Ben Gibson; cousin, Chandler Wallace.
Survivors include his grandparents, Jimmy and Kathy Clark; mother, Alisha Campbell; custodial aunt and uncle, Nic & Beth Gibson; aunts and uncles, Patricia Brackett, James Clark, and Amanda Clark; sister, Aubrey Massengill; cousins, Kamryn Brackett, Zoie, Bella, and Jasper Gibson, Ryder, Whitaker, Kai, and Stella Clark; the Gibson and Wallace families.
Funeral services were Friday, July 11, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Johnny Wooten officiating. Interment was at New Home Baptist Cemetery with his cousins, Kamryn Brackett, Kai Clark, Ryder Clark, and Jasper Gibson, best friends, J.J. Curtis and Nolan Ingram, serving as pallbearers. Whitaker Clark and Joe Daniel were honorary pallbearers.

JOE D’AGOSTINO
Joseph “Joe” D’Agostino, a longtime resident of Rising Fawn, passed away July 2, 2025, after a short illness.
He was born on July 7, 1942, in Yonkers, N.Y., to the late Marion (Contarino) and Nicholas D’Agostino. Joe spent his early years in Yonkers, where he attended Sacred Heart High School. He later pursued his passion for horticulture at Farmingdale State College in Nassau County, N.Y. In 1975, Joe relocated to Bradenton, Fla., with his family. There, he established a plant nursery on 25 acres and worked at the family business, Green Fountain Garden Centers.
On Sept. 8, 1990, Joe married Connie Socie at The Methodist Church of Palma Sola. In 2010, they moved to Rising Fawn where they made their home for the past 20 years.
Even after retiring from full-time work, Joe remained deeply connected to his love of plants. He built a greenhouse and continued growing and selling plants at the Chattanooga Market. His enthusiasm for nature extended beyond horticulture he volunteered at the Tennessee Aquarium beginning in 2011 and was an active member of both the Barnard Astronomical Society of Chattanooga and New Salem Methodist Church on Lookout Mountain.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa La Rocca.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Socie of Rising Fawn; son, Mike D’Agostino and wife Tracy; daughter, Nicole D’Agostino and husband Paul Newhart; grandchildren, Ashley Cole (Rob), Krissy Taylor (Ruble), Brittany Erwert (Chase), and Breanna Newhart; great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Waylon Erwert; brother, Brian D’Agostino (Connie), cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be at New Salem Methodist Church on Friday, July 18, at 1 p.m., located at 12250 GA-136, Rising Fawn, GA 30738.

SANDRA REED
Sandra Kaye Reed, 68, of Wildwood, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Sandra was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., and was raised in New England, Georgia. Following graduation from Dade County High School, she completed cosmetology training and enjoyed a 45-plus year career as a hair stylist serving hundreds of clients with exceptional skill and artistry, a genuine passion, and uncompromising personalized attention for which she was known. Outside of her career life, Sandra enjoyed Yoga, walking, hiking, biking, painting, making jewelry, music, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with family and friends. Sandra was a consummate wife and mother, was a compassionate friend to everyone, and expressed her profound Christian convictions daily with action and deeds. She lived a life of grace, dignity, and optimism which she continued to demonstrate throughout an over two-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, George; son, Joshua; daughter, Alice Nicole; mother, Virginia Wallen; sister, Alice Sutphin; granddaughter, Virginia Claire; cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws.
A memorial service will be at Grace Episcopal Church on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 11 a.m.

GLENDA SMITH
Glenda Sue Smith, 84, of Chickamauga, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
Sue was born April 11, 1941, to the late Pete and Hazel Hooks in Leesburg, Ala. She was a member of the Ringgold Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Smith; sisters, Ann Cronheim, Betty Fleming, and Sara Smallwood; brother, J.P. Hooks.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna (Jimbo) Rodgers of Chickamauga, and Christa (Larry) Pettigrew of Ringgold; grandchildren, Jenna (Adam) Christian, Molly (John) Barton, Tanner (Lauren) Dabbs, and Luke (Summer) Dabbs; great-grandchildren, Hazel and Hank Barton, and Cooper Christian; sisters, Mary Shaner and Faye (Gerald) Kerr.

TRUDY SMITH
Gertrude “Trudy” Smith, of Trenton, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born on April 9, 1942, to Elmer and Mattie Lou Smith, Trudy was a strong, independent woman who lived a full life grounded in faith, family, and hard work. A proud and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Trudy found her greatest joy in time spent with her family – especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
She was known for her determined spirit, her love of shopping, and her fondness for traveling to the beach. Trudy was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and a steady presence in the lives of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Smith; parents, Elmer and Mattie Lou Smith; daughter, Colette Smith.
Survivors include her children, Andrea (Thomas) Wynn, Greg (Mary) Smith, and Bobby (Bonnie) Smith; sisters, Alma Duggard, Linda Case, and Sherry Talley; brothers, Leroy Smith and Garland Smith; grandchildren, Wes Abercrombie, Kassi Grobbel, and Joe Smith; great-grandchildren, Noah and Landon Abercrombie; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A graveside service was Sunday, July 13, at Smith Family Cemetery.

SHIRLEY STEPHENS
Shirley K. Stephens, 85, formerly of Trenton, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Morning Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care of Columbia, Tenn. She was born Aug. 18, 1939, in Jackson County, Ala. Her parents were the late A.M. and Valeria (Thrasher) Keel, who preceded her in death.
Shirley worked in the Dade County School System as a teacher’s aide for over 12 years and retired from the Bank of Dade in 2009 after 26 years of service. She was active in several community organizations. Shirley was a member of the ABWA and served as treasurer of the local branch of the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Hooker Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roy M. Stephens; sister, Doris Virginia Keel; infant granddaughter, Kaitialyn Renea Keel; sister-in-law, Gertha Stephens; brothers-in-law, Carl Cross, Bernard Keith, and Andy Newby; niece, Connie Cross; nephew, Cal Riddle.
Survivors include her sons, Milton (Julie) Stephens, Lynnville, Tenn., and Phillip Keel, Trenton; sister, Jean (Doug) Wheeler, Trenton; brother, Kenny (Linda) Keel, Trenton; grandchildren, Thomas (Melissa) Stephens, Lynnville, Tenn., Shane (Anna) Keel, Ringgold, , Kristen Wells, Cody Keel, and Tyler Keel, all of Trenton; great-grandchildren, Gracyn and Bryar Wells, Camden, Adley and Asher Keel; uncles, Rayford Thrasher, Huntsville, Ala., Sam Keel, Ringgold, and C.B. (Janice) Keel, Chattanooga, Tenn.; nieces, April Wheeler, Serena Keel, and Fallon Keel; nephews, Win (Anita) Keith, Mike (Darlene) Keith and Mark Cross; sisters-in-law, Bertha Cross, Betty Keith and Kathleen Newby; cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday, July 15, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with ministers Johnny Holeman, Mike Keith, and Milton Stephens officiating. Interment was at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

MICHELE SUNDEAN
Michele Denise Sundean, 55, of Ooltewah, Tenn., passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025.
Born Dec. 28, 1969, Michele lived a life filled with compassion, joy, and a deep love for both people and animals. She dedicated many years of her life to a career in health care, where she found purpose in caring for others. Her bubbly, outgoing personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and she had a unique gift for making people laugh and feel loved. Michele adored animals, especially her beloved horses, cats, and dogs, and she found great joy and peace in their company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Dorothy Wilkins, and brother, Matt Arner.
Survivors include her children, Brooke (Dereck) Hyde, Allison (Wesley) Derryberry, and Daniel Murphy; grandchildren, Sidney Ferguson and Sawyer Hyde; five brothers; six sisters; 27 nieces and nephews; extended family members.
Furner services were Thursday, July 10, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Pastor Joseph Arner officiating.
