JAMES CURTIS
James “Buddy” Curtis, 90, of Dallas, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025.
Buddy was a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church, Marietta, since 1981 and also attended Dogwood Church in Tyrone.
Buddy was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., June 18, 1935. He graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1954 and served in the U.S Navy Reserve Division 675 in Chattanooga for seven years and attended Okaloosa-Walton College in Niceville, Fla.
Prior to his retirement in 2001, Buddy was employed with Food Giant/Food Lion Supermarket for 31 years where he held positions as manager, area supervisor, regional supervisor, buyer, merchandiser, and director. During his employment, he continued his education through Cornell University programs.
Buddy is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Annie Curtis; sister, Annabelle Redding; brother, Dr. Charles Curtis; son, Dr. Jeffery Van Curtis.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Shirley Ann McKibben Curtis, Dallas; daughters, Kimberly Swan (Ted Swann), Kristy Mitchell (Carlos Mitchell), and Karen Lynn Curtis of Dallas; grandchildren, Dreama Black (Jonathan Black), Robert Mitchell, Julia Mitchell Leeds (Michael Leeds), Dr. Alec Curtis (Dr. Marenda Curtis), and Olivia Curtis; great-grandchildren Ted Black (Sophie Black), Kimberlyn Black, Annaliese Black, and Adrian Van Lane.
Memorial donations may be made to their beloved church, Roswell Street Baptist Church.

RONNIE GALLOWAY
Ronald “Ronnie” Galloway, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
He was born on June 8, 1961, in Fort Oglethorpe, and grew up in Trenton on Sand Mountain. Ronnie was an avid fan of NASCAR, especially the legendary Dale Earnhardt. He also loved Alabama football and the Dallas CowboysHe enjoyed playing poker, horseshoes, listening to country music, eating anything sugary, and sharing a cold Busch beer. He shared many happy years with his long-time love, Pam, and together they made their home in Chattanooga.
He was preceded in death by his parents, RC Galloway and Juanita Galloway; son, Matthew Clay; brother, Robert Carnell.
Survivors include his sons, Ronald Larigene (Tamara) and Christopher Daniel (Kimberly); grandchildren, Brayden, Luke, Tinsley, Xander, and Aiden; long-time partner, Pamela Hood, and her children, Bobby (Catrina) and Brittany Maples, along with her grandchildren: Gavin, Devin, Trevin, Aiden, Shaun, Aja, Ava, Ryan, and Ada; brothers, Rex and Roy Galloway.
Funeral services were Saturday, June 21, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ricky Crabtree officiating. Interment was in Shantytown Cemetery.

SHELIA SNOW
Shelia Kathleen Snow, 74, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, June 17th, 2025.
She was a fun-loving soul who enjoyed traveling, music, shopping, and just being with her family and friends. Shelia was a long-time member of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Lenny Snow.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, sisters, stepdaughters, grandchildren, cousins, her family at Thrive.
In accordance with her wishes, no formal service will be held.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her honor.
