Dade Greets Veteran Motorcycle Crew

In the late afternoon of May 20, several hundred motorcyclists passed through Dade County on their way to Washington D.C. for Memorial Day. Dade County fire departments and other citizens greeted the motorcycle crew (made up of many Vietnam vets) with flags, waves, and cheers from I-59 overpasses throughout the county.

This annual cross-country ride is called Run For The Wall, and it honors veterans, casualties of war, POWs, and those still MIA. The group’s motto is, “We ride for those who can’t.”
