MICHAEL FRADY

Michael Wayne Frady, 67, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

Michael enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring from U.S. Pipe and I.W.G. He was a member of Rising Fawn Methodist Church and honorably served in the Army National Guard. Michael loved attending car shows and rod runs. He was also passionate about firearms and was known for his exceptional long-range shooting skills.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Joe and Rita Sue Frady; grandparents, Jim and Nellie Frady, Elmer and Ola Mae Buchanan.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Sharron Frady; children, Melanie (Todd) Phillips, Nathan Frady, Avery Sexton, Andria (Russ) Powers, and Cory Durham; grandchildren, Taylor and Trent Phillips, Everett Sexton, Meadow and Isla Powers, and Jackson Durham; siblings, Rodney (Maria) Frady and Lori Frady; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, April 12, at 5 p.m., at Rising Fawn Methodist Church, 3840 US-11, Rising Fawn, GA 30738.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s honor may be made to the Rising Fawn Methodist Church Helping Fund, P.O. Box 66, Rising Fawn, GA 30738.

BILLY NEWBY

Billy F. Newby, 96, of Wildwood, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025.

Mr. Newby worked for 3M Corporation in Chattanooga, Tenn., for 30 years and until its closing. He also worked for Jenkins Chrysler – Dodge dealership for several years. Mr. Newby loved working on his farm raising his Charolais cattle. He also enjoyed traveling all over the United States with his friends and family. Mr. Newby was a member of the Trenton church of Christ.

Mr. Newby was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Parker Newby; daughter, Marian Newby; parents, Andy Brown Newby Sr., and Carrie Blynn Wall Newby; brother, Andy Newby; sister, Nancy Bernhardt.

Survivors include his daughters, Bessie Carolyn Newby Ashe of Trenton, and Martha “Jacque” (Tommy) Pigage of Hopkinsville, Ky., nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Tuesday April 1, in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Minister Ron Gilbert and Tommy Pigage officiating. Interment was in Browns Gap Cemetery.

GEORGE SULLIVAN

George Hampton Sullivan,101, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025.

George dedicated many years of his career to Dyer Lumber Company, where he was known for his no-nonsense approach to work. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time with his family. He had a passion for flea marketing, whittling, and woodworking, and he found peace in the quiet moments of fishing. George was of the Baptist faith.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Sullivan; daughter, Oma Lee Sullivan; parents, Cade and Ella Sullivan; siblings, Ruby Davidson, Edsel Sullivan, Bill Daniels, and Jack Tinker.

He is survived by his children, Tim (Lisa) Sullivan, Darlene Sullivan, and Allan (Debbie) Sullivan; grandchildren, Eric (Angela) Sullivan, Misty Sullivan, and Kayla (Mike) Williams; great-grandchildren, Avery, Aaron, Ellie, Tierney, and Malone.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, April 1, at the Baptist Cemetery in Trenton.

TOMMY WELLS

Tommy Wells, 64, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away March 25, 2025

Born Feb. 26, 1961, Tommy dedicated much of his life to his family and work. Tommy’s family was his greatest treasure. Beyond his dedication to family, Tommy had a passion for the outdoors, particularly fishing. He was also a die-hard Tennessee Vols fan and was employed at Food City on Signal Mountain Road.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Shirley Dye Wells.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Shell; sons, (Kathy) Wells and Colty (Colleen) Wells; grandchildren, Ashley, Angel, Marie, and Aspyn.

Funeral services were Friday, March 28, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Dallas Howard officiating. Interment was at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
