HOSA Students Assist Blood Assurance Drive

On Jan. 27, the Dade County High School HOSA chapter hosted one of their three annual blood drives through Blood Assurance. The next one is scheduled for May 5, and these photos are from the August 2024 drive. Each drive collects an average of 30 units, most of which are given by the DCHS student body. Students receive points toward a graduation cord when they donate blood, and HOSA students get a little bit of hands-on practice in the healthcare field by helping with the blood drives.
