ELIZABETH BREEDLOVE
Elizabeth Ann Breedlove, 84, of Flat Rock, Ala., passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025.
Ann was cherished for her sweet personality and the love she extended to everyone around her. Family held a special place in her heart, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ann had a long and fulfilling career in health care, devoted to caring for others. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and had previously been a long-time member of White Oak Baptist Church.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Arlon Breedlove; parents, Hoyt Lewis and Luddie Key; siblings, Joe Gass, Patricia Randolph, and Sue Moreland.
Survivors include her children, Cheryl (Jeff) Cox, Karen Smith, Terry (Renee) Breedlove, and Bill (Rachael) Breedlove; brother, Berkey (Barbara) Key; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Charles Ellison officiating. Interment was at Shanty Town Cemetery.

BUDDY HILL
Buddy Lynn Hill, age 82, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2025.
Buddy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and dedicated 41 years of his professional life to Alstom Power in Chattanooga, Tenn. In his leisure time, he found joy in traveling, gardening, tending to his yard, and supporting Alabama football.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Euna Lee Hill; nephew Neal Hill Jr.
Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years, Charlotte Hill; daughters, Cheryl (David) Smedley and Lisa Durham; grandchildren, Sarah (Josh) Hahn and Alaina (Chase) Merrell; great-grandchildren, Kohl and Sam Hahn; sisters, Joan Hill, Jo (Larry) Cooper, and Donna (Norman) Kieffer; brothers, Neal (Jean) Hill, Leon (Martha) Hill, and Teddy (Lisa) Hill.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Interment was at Gib Dock Stephens Cemetery.

ELSIE LAWSON
Elsie Bradford Lawson,78, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025.
Born May 5, 1946 on Lookout Mountain, Elsie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She dedicated much of her life to serving others, working for many years in the Dade County school system as a cafeteria worker.
Elsie was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Bradford; father, Bill Bradford; sister, Margaret Martin; son, Phillip Lawson.
Survivors include her husbandof 63 years, Adrian “Tom” Lawson; children, Jim (Beverly) Lawson, Paula (Randy) Wilkes, and Tony (Melissa) Lawson; grandchildren, Savanna Wilkes, Andrew (Christen) Wilkes, Matthew (Nikki) Lawson, Ryan (Nikki) Lawson, Joshua Hawkins, Grace Lawson, and Aiden Lawson; great-grandchildren, Parker Lawson, Casey Lawson, and M..J Wilkes; sister, Betty Fuller; extended family members.
A Celebration of Life was Sunday, Jan. 26, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Matthew Logan and Rev. Reece Fauscett officiating.

WINFRED MASSEY
Winfred R. Massey, Sr., 91, of Lookout Mountain passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025.
Born on March 11, 1933, he lived a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and hard work Winfred was a devoted husband to Tommie Ruth Bohannon. Together, they built a life on Lookout Mountain. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Gospel Church on Lookout Mountain that was founded and built in the early 1900s by his father, John Wesley Massey.A man of many talents, Winfred was a farmer, timber worker, foundry worker, and an accomplished “wheeler and dealer”. He had a gift for mechanics and a passion for the outdoors, enjoying hunting and exploring the mountain.
He was predeceased by his parent, John Wesley Massey and Elsie Smith Massey; Bobby, Kenneth, Virgie, Barbara, Johnny, Aaron, Arlie, Wayne, Brenda, and Deborah.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years Tommie Ruth Bohannon; children, W. Rufus Massey Jr. (Mary Anne), Cheryl Williams (John), Sabra Price (Butch), Daryl Massey (Kelly), and Tracy Massey (Paula); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life was Sunday, Jan. 26, at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton with Brother Jody Massey, Daryl Massey and Rufus Massey officiating. Interment was at Mount Carmel Gospel Church Cemetery.

JAMES SPRINGFIELD
James Springfield, 84, of Trenton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025.
Mr. Springfield was a graduate of Kirkman High School, class of 1962, and was retired from Consolidated Latex of Chattanooga, Tenn. Following his retirement, he then began employment with the Hamilton County Board of Education as a bus driver. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Frances Springfield; sister, Helen Ann Clark;, granddaughter, Ashley King; son, Gregory James Hadden.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ruth Springfield; children, Sherry (Steve) King, Flat Rock, Ala., Tina Williams, Wildwood, and Becky (Bill) Metcalf, Trenton; grandchildren, Tiffany (Shane) Hiett, Renae (Tommy Lee) Taylor, and Jennifer Williams;10 great-grandchildren; two nieces.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 1t at 11 a.m., in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Harris officiating.
