ROSALIE EVERS

Rosalie Evers, 95, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2025.

Mrs. Evers was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert T. Evers; son, Thomas Lee Evers; six siblings.

Survivors include her children, Brenda Johnson, Rising Fawn, Melonie (Steven) Smith; and Angie (Rick) Scott, all of Bryant, Ala.; grandchildren, Aaron (Tabitha) Smith, Blake (Karen) Smith, Tiffany (Andrew) Scott-Black, and Bradden (Courtney) Scott; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, William Hughes and Ivan Hughes; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 8, in the funeral home chapel with interment at Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

LOUISE HAMPTON

Catherine Louise Hampton, 76, of Trenton, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2025.

Louise was a sweet soul whose love for her family was boundless. She held a special place in her heart for her granddaughter, Heaven, and found joy in spending time with those she adored. Her faith in the Lord was unwavering, reflecting her compassionate nature and commitment to her church community.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Con Hampton; parents, Jack and Dorothy Derryberry; siblings, Bud Derryberry and Jane Payne.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy (Matthew) Veal; granddaughter, Heaven Leigh Veal; siblings, Carolyn (Marvin) York, Ronnie (Demetrius) Derryberry, and Joanna (David) Wallace.

Duneral services are today, Jan. 15, at noon at Rising Fawn Church of God, where she was a devoted member. Pastor Chris Hagler will officiate the service. Interment will be at Sarah Chapel Cemetery.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects today from 10 a.m., until the service hour.

BARBARA HAVLIN

Barbara Irene Havlin, 70, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025.

Barbara was known for her incredible kindness and a deep love for animals, dedicating her life to rescuing and fostering dogs. Her passion for her furry companions was a significant part of who she was. Additionally, she was a cherished member of White Oak Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Irene King Havlin.

Survivors include her husband, David Shelton; father-in-law, T.J. Shelton; mother-in-law, Pat Glodowski; daughter, Danielle Crossley; in-laws, Rebecca (Roger) McBryar and Kevin (Pearl) Shelton; nieces and nephews, James Havlin, Tonya Havlin Bruce, and Barry Havlin.

Funeral services are today, Jan. 15, at 3 p.m., in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Darrell Cooper officiating. Interment will be at Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home today from 1 p.m., until the service hour.

NANCY MULLINS

Nancy Sherron Mullins, 82, of Sioux Falls, S.D., passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024.

Nancy was born on May 9, 1944, in Dade County, Georgia to John and Pearl (Goins) Patterson. She was raised in Slygo Valley graduating from Dade County High School. She continued her education in Arizona. Nancy was a woman of strong Southern Baptist faith.  She was diligent in her daily devotionals and looked deeply to her bible studies with Dr. Charles Stanley In-Touch Ministries. She enjoyed crocheting, working on puzzles, her daily journaling, collecting red birds and teddy bears, and traveling the country.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John S. and Pearl Goins Patterson; brothers, Benton Patterson and Claude Patterson; sister, Hazel Moore.

Survivors include her daughters, Regina Wright and her husband, Doyle of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Sharon Lancing of Sioux Falls, S.D.; grandchildren, Brittany, Michelle and James; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
