BOOKIE BOWEN
Bookie Bowen, 66, of Trenton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024.
Bookie was retired from Wallin Drilling as a truck driver and was a great pawpaw.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bodi Bowen and mother, Marie Stancell.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Evelyn Bowen; children, Jennifer (Aaron) Liles, and Rodney Bowen, all of Trenton; grandchildren, Kaylea and Nolan Liles; three brothers; one sister; nieces and nephews.

RICKY CASTLEBERRY
Ricky Bert Castleberry, 69, of Wildwood, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024.
Born Sept. 6, 1955, to the late Bert and Flo Lynn Castleberry, Ricky held his family dear, especially his brother Dink. He was known for his generosity and willingness to help others and his passion for fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include his daughters Terri (David) Williams and Jessica (Steven) Stamey; son, Mickey Castleberry; sister, Debbie Powell; brothers, Jimmy Castleberry, Dink Castleberry, and Chuck (Tina) Castleberry; grandchildren, Taylor (Marlan) Adams, Sarah (Timothy) Hollister, and Gage Baugh; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan.3, 2025, at 12:00 PM in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Following the service, Ricky will be laid to rest at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

JANICE MARIE CRAIG
Janice Marie Craig, 74, of Lookout Mountain, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025.
Janice was born in Rockwood, Tenn., on June 1, 1950, to the late Zell Kesterson and Pearl Finley and has resided in the Dade County area for many years. She was a devoted homemaker who loved and cherished her family. Janice loved cooking and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Lin.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Mac Craig; daughter, Amanda (Bryan) Smith; sons, Shane Craig and Casey Craig; grandchildren, Victoria Craig, Anna Marie Smith, Barrett Smith and Olivia Craig.
Family and friends gathered to remember Janice Saturday, Jan. 4, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home.

PAUL HAYES
Lester Paul Hayes, 77, of Trenton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024.
Paul served in the Artillery Division of the United States Marine Corps from 1967-1972, and was an actor his entire adult life. Before moving to the Trenton area in 2020, Paul was an actor in Hollywood, having worked in over 200 TV shows, movies, commercials, plays and industrials. He worked with everyone from Frank Sinatra to Betty White. He worked multiple driving jobs when acting was slow, including being an Uber/Lyft driver, and he owned and operated a taxicab for Red and White Taxi Company in West Hollywood, Calif. Paul’s hobbies included swimming, parasailing, hiking and watching old movies.
He was preceded in death by his sibling, Erlinda Hayes Stieglitz,
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Sandra Hayes; stepchildren, Cobey Everett, Laura Everett, Melissa Evans, Jeremy Evans, April Duncan, and Terry Duncan; siblings, John Stieglitz, Wes Hayes and Bill Hayes; nephews, Gavin and Darin Stieglitz; niece, Shawnie Dutton; step-grandchildren, James Jordan, Vanessa Jordan, Blake Jordon, Jaki Jordan, Amity Grace and Abigail Martin; step great-grandchildren, Mason Jordan, Austin Jordan, Jaxon Jordan, Mikal Jordan and Luanne Jordan.
A memorial service was Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Moore Funeral Home with his wife, Rev. Sandra Hayes officiating.

BOBBY MASSEY
Bobby Wess Massey, 88, of Lookout Mountain, passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2025.
Bobby was a true entrepreneur, owning and operating several clubs and entertainment venues for over 50 years, including the Rock and Country Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. He was known for his integrity and kind spirit, choosing to lead by example and live a life free of smoking, drinking, and cursing. Bobby’s greatest treasure was his family, and they deeply loved him.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Wess and Elsie Smith Massey; brothers, Kenneth, Arlie, Wayne, and Johnny Massey; sisters, Barbara McCormick, Brenda Landrum, and Debra Richards.
Survivors include his children, Cynthia Massey, Courtney Daly, Kimberly Merkl, Bobby (Sandy) Massey Jr., and Rick Durham; grandchildren, Peyton Hefner, Spencer Daly, Amber Massey, and Wess Massey; brothers, Winfred and Aaron Massey.
A graveside service was Monday, Jan. 6, at Mount Carmel Gospel Church Cemetery on Lookout Mountain.

Jonie Ehle Roy, 48, of Trenton, passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2025.
Jonie was a loving wife and mother with a huge heart, always filling the room with laughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Robbin Ehle; sons, Daniel Ford and Chance Roy; daughter, Kennedy Roy; mother-in-law, Norma Jean Stephens; sister, Andrea Grider.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, John Paul Roy; son, Christopher Ford; siblings, Jason (Jeanette Phillips) Ehle, Angie (Ricky) Baum, Bobby (Susan) Crider, Anthony Williams, Lisa (Don) Tucker, Brenda Stephens, Trudy Dalton, and Vanessa Dalton; special niece, Jaylee Ehle; nieces and nephews.

CHARLOTTE LANE–TRIPP
Charlotte Lane-Tripp, 74, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday Dec. 31, 2024.
Charlotte was a retired Dade County School System teacher and a long-time member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She loved to travel and spend time with family.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Smith and Molly “Pat” Smith; husband, Chester Ralph Lane, Jr.; son Christopher Randall Lane.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Tripp; daughter, Sherry Lane Ramey (Rodney Ramey); stepsons, Scott Tripp and Tim Tripp; grandsons, Corey Lane and Coby Lane Serkowneck (Sara Serkowneck); brothers, J. L. (Frieda) Smith, and Steve (Pam) Smith; nieces and nephews.

Joe Irwin Whitley, 81, of Higdon, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024.
Born June 1, 1943, to the late Ralph and Hazel Whitley, Joe was a true family man who cherished his loved ones above all else. He was a devoted member of Sand Mountain United Methodist Church and enjoyed watching Alabama football games.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Junior Whitley, Johnnie Lee Whitley, Glen Whitley, and Katherine Vance.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jackie Whitley; daughters, LaDonna and Jennifer Whitley; grandchildren, Bailey Holcomb, Derek (Maryeah) Alonzo, and Hannah (Miguel) Alonzo; great-grandchildren, Jayden Bell, Aeris Alonzo, Laila Whitley, Sonder Alonzo, Lorenzo Andres, and Nico Whitley; siblings, Carol Sharpton, Douglas Whitley, Calvin (Beth) Whitley, Charles Whitley, Helen (Steve) Townson, Stanley (Lisa) Whitley, Marlene (Michael) Buff; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 4, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home Brother Larry Williams, Brother Steve Townson, and Brother Chris Townson officiating. Interment was at Higdon Cemetery.
