KIMBERLY CASE
Kimberly Ann Case, 62, of Ft. Payne, Ala., passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2024.
Kim was a devoted mother and grandmother, her family being her utmost priority. She enjoyed hiking, thrifting and gospel music. She was a dedicated member of her church community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Case and Mary Ellen Jobe; grandson, Tytus; brothers, Nowel Edward Case and Michael Case.
Survivors include her children, Tabatha (Joshua) Taber, Beth (Chris) Burdine, and Dakota (Kristen) McBride; grandchildren, Kaylem Dupree, Wyatt Dupree, Tyson Stanley, Ian McBride, Samuel Stanley, Henry Stanley, and Ezra McBride; sisters, Mary (Mike) Doyle, Donna (Kevin) Chapman, Sandra (John) Trissel, and Sherry (Alan) Morrow; brothers, Gary Wayne Case, Ronnie (Pam) Case, and Royce (Jada) Case; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services were Monday, Dec.16, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Waylon Miller and Pastor Joshua Taber officiating. Interment was at Bean-Roulston Cemetery in South Pittsburg, Tenn.

ETHEL CODY
Ethel Irene Cody, 96, of Trenton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024.
She was a remarkable lady who exemplified strength and dedication throughout her life. Ethel was known for her entrepreneurial spirit, having successfully operated a Marine Business and Cypress Shop in Florida before her retirement. Ethel found great joy in spending time at the Trenton Senior Center and was a proud member of the Audubon Society, where she actively contributed to the preservation of the beautiful parks in Dade County alongside her friend, Eloise Gass.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Jimmie Bolton; husbands, Laudrey Cody and Verlan Brown; daughter, June Tipton; grandson, Kyle Stevens; siblings, Mary McNabb, Bonnie McNabb, Duvol Bolton, Paul Bolton, William Bolton, and John Bolton.
Survivors include her children, Peggy Brannen, Sandra (Tony) Edwards, John (Lynda) Forrester, and Eddie (Susan) Stevens; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Sammy) Jones and Sue Bolton; brothers, James (Verda) Bolton and Reece Bolton.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her friends, Glennis Lawson, Annette Cash, and Nancy Belk for their faithful support.
Funeral services are today, Dec. 18, at 1 p.m., in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Hagler officiating. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Gardens West.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11: a.m., until the service hour.

Edward Alan Hannah, 76, of Lookout Mountain, passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024.
Alan dedicated many years of his life to his career as a truck driver. He found joy in fishing and cherished the moments spent with his loved ones.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ethel Hannah; several step-siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Louise Hannah; daughter Charlsie (Rusty) Matthews; sons, Paul (Stacey) Hannah and Bobby Hannah; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

BELINDA HOLLIS
Belinda Gail Hollis, 59, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Dec.11, 2024
Born Aug. 27, 1965, to Charles and Rosalee Pemberton, Belinda was a cherished member of her family and known for her warm spirit.
Belinda is preceded in death by her father, Charles A. Pemberton Sr., and brother, Jeffery Lee Pemberton.
Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie, Katrina, and Ashley (Brandon Robertson) Hollis; mother, Rosalee Pemberton; husband, Mark Miller; brothers, Charlie (Anita) and Randy (Vickie) Pemberton; sister, Carol (Larry) Miller; grandchildren, Reagan, Jackson, Charleigh Rose, and Gavin; nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was Friday, Dec.13, at Floral Crest Cemetery.

JAMES LINDSEY
James Roy Lindsey, 85, of Trenton, passed away Monday, Dec.9, 2024.
Mr. Lindsey was born Feb. 22, 1939, in Etowah, Tenn., to the late Roy and Inez Lindsey and was a 1956 graduate of Etowah High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam era. He was a member of American Legion Post #106, was owner of Lindsey Hosiery in Trenton, and was an avid outdoorsman where he loved fishing, hunting, gardening, beekeeping and all animals.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lindsey; children, James Roy (Sheryl) Lindsey, Jr., Cleveland, Tenn., Ginny (Chris) Hughes, Henagar, Ala., and Anne Kristine Freeman, Canton, Ohio; grandchildren, Steven Stroupes, Lindsey Stroupes, Tyler Hughes, Christen Barker, Eric LaMonica, and David Freeman; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Glenna Ann Bowmaster, Morrow; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Monday, Dec. 16 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Murphy officiating. Military honors will be presented by American Legion Post #106.

PAUL MASHBURN
Paul Franklin Mashburn, 86, of Lookout Valley, Tenn., passed away Sunday, Dec.15, 2024.
He was born Aug. 29, 1938, in Scottsboro, Ala., and dedicated his life to serving others through a distinguished career as a bus driver. As the owner and operator of Mashburn Bus Service, Paul traveled across the country, providing exceptional charter services. His unwavering commitment and professionalism were evident during his 54 years of contracting with the Hamilton County School System, from which he retired in June 2024. In recognition of his contributions to the profession, Paul was honored with induction into the Bus Driver Hall of Fame in 2023. Known for his kind and welcoming nature, Paul had an infectious sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around him. He loved his family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dollie Mashburn; siblings, William Mashburn, Grady Mashburn, Susie Moore, Margie Robins, James Mashburn, Mary Spears, Ruth Smith, Lloyd Mashburn, and Joe Mashburn.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Mashburn; children, Judy (Mike) Gordon, Diane (Jim) Sparks, Dewayne (Cindy) Mashburn, and David (Donna) Mashburn; grandchildren, Jeremy Mashburn, Joshua Mashburn, Leslie Horton, Brian Mashburn, Shelly Sparks, Christopher Collins, Shawn Gordon, Nicolas Tate, and Timothy Gordon; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Morton; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m., in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memory Gardens West.

KEN PENNINGTON
Kenneth Eugene Pennington, 82, of New Salem, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024.
Ken grew up on Lookout Mountain where he was born on the farm of his great-great-great grandparents Robert and Eda Boatman. Ken loved the history of his ancestors and was an avid historian. He attended school in Dade County where he was a star athlete. He was a three-year Golden Glove champion with Dade County’s boxing team and a member of the All-State football team as a fullback. Ken served a year with the U.S, Navy Reserves before joining the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division as a paratrooper. His hobbies were hiking, hunting, camping, cave exploring, collecting Native American and Civil War artifacts, painting portraits and landscapes, nature photography and writing novels. Ken believed in God, loved his family, and cherished his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Evelyn Moore Pennington; brother, James Peck Pennington.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca McMahan Pennington; daughters, Kamille (Aaron) Pennington Crowley and Rachel (Marshall) Pennington Smith; son Joseph (Tina) Driggs Pennington; grandchildren, Brooke Smith Brumelow, Cain (Ashley) Smith, and Jonah Driggs Pennington; great-grandchildren, Sadie Rose Smith, Sawyer Smith, Delilah Ruth Brumelow and Declan Brumelow.

CLARENCE TONEY
Clarence Lee Toney, 67, of Lookout Mountain, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024.
Born on July 21, 1957, to the late Ben and Allie Mae Toney, Lee was a beloved individual who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His warm spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his siblings: Penny Toney, Bob Toney, C.L. Toney, Bennie Williams, Betty Toney, and Nellie Lamons.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Toney; children, Dana (Steve) Harmon and Milton (Tricia) Bunn; grandchildren, Cody, Erica, Danny, Scott, Savannah, and Stevie-Marie; great-grandchildren, Leah, Lilly, Sarina, and Aurora; nieces and nephews.

OLIVIA YATES
Olivia Ann Yates, 83, of Flat Rock, Ala., passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024.
Born Aug.12, 1941, to H.H. and Ruth Morris Tidwell, Olivia Ann Yates brought warmth, love, and wisdom into every life she touched. She was a born leader with quiet words and expression, who proudly wore and exceeded the mantle of ‘teacher.’
Olivia was proceded in death by her parents and brother, Franklin “Sonny” Tidwell.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Wayne “Rowdy” Yates; son, Frank (Angie) Yates; sister, Claudette Tidwell Dobbins; grandchildren, Orey (Brittany), Tristan (Maleiha), Stone (Lauren), and Cruz Yates; great-grandchildren, Owen and Annabeth Yates; nephews, Kenneth and Stanley Hill; nieces, Cynthia Wells and Stephanie Tidwell; nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services were Monday, Dec. 16 in the funeral home chapel with her cousin David Long. Interment was at Flat Rock Methodist Cemetery.
