DAVIS BETHUNE
Davis Talmadge Bethune, 85, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024.
Born Jan. 15, 1939, to the late Orbie and Ruby Adkins Bethune, Davis was raised with a deep commitment to family and a strong desire to serve others. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in all he did as a devoted member of the Floral Crest Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Davis had a true passion for gardening, and for many years, he shared his wisdom and enthusiasm with the community at the Bethune Garden Center on Sand Mountain. His love for restoring classic trucks, especially his beloved 1936 Chevy, was evident to all who knew him.
Davis was preceded in death by his parents; son, Franky Bethune; and siblings, Mary R. Weldon, Ollie M. Gass, Sylvia Bethune, James G. Bethune, Verlin Bethune, Osbie Bethune, and Benuard Bethune.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Pauline Bernice Gass Bethune; sons, Timothy (Angela) and Jeff (Carla) Bethune; grandchildren, Heather Stevenson, Kyla Godsey, Haley Bonner, and Zane Bethune; sisters, Renee Richard and Onvil Robinson; five great-grandchildren; extended family.
A graveside service was Monday, Oct. 14, at Floral Crest Cemetery in Bryant, Ala.m with Pastor Jerry Arnold officiating.

DEVONNA HOLLANDER
Devonna Hollander, 63, of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024.
She was an avid crafter and was known for her beautiful floral arrangements. Devonna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was the happiest enjoying the company of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by father, Donald Lee Powell; grandmother, Opal “Nanny” Huff.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Steven Hollander; mother, Bertha DeLois Powell; daughter, Abrianna (Aaron) McGill of Trenton; grandchildren, Aurora “Rory” and Author “Thor” McGill; siblings, Tracy Powell, Lisa Powell Daugherty amd Genie Deckard; two nieces.
A Celebration of Life was Saturday, Oct.12, at Community Full Gospel Church in New Hope, Tenn.

SANDRA LEE RONAN
Sandra “Sandy” Lee Ronan, 64, of Trenton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024.
Sandy was born in Flint, Mich., on Feb. 23, 1960, to the late Charles “Chuck” and Dorsa Lackey. Her family later moved to the north Georgia area and made their home in Dade County. Sandy was a 1978 graduate of Northwest Georgia High School and later continued her educational studies at Jacksonville State University in Alabama. Sandy later returned to Flint where she worked as a Funds Transfer Representative with Citizens Bank. Sandy returned to Dade County and was married to the love of her life, Dennis Michael Ronan, Jr. and resided in Trenton for several years. Sandy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Trenton, where she was beloved by her church family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by two siblings, Bobby Lackey and Tracey Wilson.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Michael Ronan, Jr.; siblings, Charles “Chuckie” Lackey and Lisa Jo Sanders.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Calvary Baptist Church in Trenton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sandy’s memory to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

PAUL VOILES
Paul Benny Voiles, 72, of Lookout Valley, Tenn., passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024.
Benny was born May 8, 1952, to the late William Paul and Ozella Wooten Voiles in the West Brow community of Lookout Mountain, where he resided for many years. He was a well-known musician and could play most any instrument, but was most happy playing guitar and riding his Harley Davidson. Benny was retired from Shaw Industries.
He was preceded in death by his son, Shane Voiles, sister, Muriel Craig, and brother, Calvin Voiles.
Survivors include his grandchildren, Megan and Madeline Voiles; sisters, Kathleen (Johnny) Outlaw, and Debbie (Glen) Fuller; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services were Friday, Oct. 11 at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens in Trenton with one of his best friends, Dennis Massengale, delivering his eulogy.
