CHARLOTTE BROWN
Charlotte Ann Brown (Kirby), 76, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024.
She was born June 22, 1948, to the late R.M. and Carolyn Kirby. She was a woman whose life was defined by her unwavering faith, her commitment to her family, and her dedication to her work. Upon retiring from Shaw Industries, Charlotte was known for her strong work ethic and her respectful demeanor, both of which left a lasting impression on her colleagues and friends. She was a member of the Trenton Ministry Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Junior Kirby; in-laws, Denver and Ovella Brown; nephews, Chad Gifford, Jason Cuzzort, James (Bobo) Stevens, and Greg Stevens; nieces, Cindy Yancy, Beth Cuzzort, and Shana Stevens.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ed Brown; children, Synthia Conner and Eddie (Carrie) Brown; grandchildren, Olivia (Cody) McNabb, Austin (Kanay) Conner, Kaylan (Tyce) Beauden, and Dallas Brown; great-grandchildren, Emory, Denver, Kamri, and Krue; sisters, Barbara Cuzzort, Trish Stevens, Beatrice (Eddie) Plemons; sister-in-law, Mary (Brock) Connell; nieces and nephews, Jeff Stevens, Jenny (Richard) Vincent, Denise (Paul) Boyd, Brad Stevens, Jonathan Stevens, Matthew Cuzzort, Cheryl (Benji) Cooper, Eva Black, Beverly Salmeron; several other nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was Sunday Sept. 8, in the funeral home chapel.

CHRIS BURR
Ronald Christopher “Chris” Burr, 54, of Flat Rock, Ala., passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024.
A graduate of North Sand Mountain High School, Chris dedicated several years of his professional life as a supervisor at Valley Knit in Fort Payne, Ala. Chris enjoyed reading and exploring his interests, particularly as a passionate civil war enthusiast, and loved westerns and the science fiction universe of Star Trek.
He was preceded in death was his father, Floyd Burr.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Burr; sisters, Christina Burr and Nickie Burr; nieces, Cheyenne Burr and Sierra Burr; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Interment was at Poplar Springs Cemetery.

DORTHA CARTER
Dortha Marie Carter, 86, of Lookout Valley, Tenn,, passed away Monday, Sept, 2, 2024.
Mrs. Carter was a graduate of Sylvania High School and a member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church. She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper from Custom Cabinets in Dutton, Ala.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Jesse A. Carter; daughter, Pamela J. Carter, West Haven, Utah, and Donna M. Carter, Chattanooga, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jessica M. Vellinga and Michael A. Kittner; great-grandsons, Carter and Kaysen Vellinga.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Sept. 4, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wade Casey and Rev. Danny Whitaker officiating. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery in Dutton, Ala.

REX HARRISON
Rex Harrison, 57, of Leesburg, Ala., passed away Thursday, Sept, 5, 2024. Rex was originally from Lenoir City, Tenn., and moved to the Hooker community of Wildwood where he resided for over 50 years. Thirty-six of those years were with his wife, Khrischell, and Boxers, Sasha, Harli, Bailey, and Chan.
Rex loved the outdoors and for many years had a love of fishing, camping, and sitting by a fire. His biggest dream was to get to reside on the lake, where he recently put his heart, soul, and mind into building a small, but beautiful home. He was a painting contractor for over 30 years and was self-employed for many of those years. Due to various health issues, he was forced into an early retirement where he continued to stay involved in his community in various ways of volunteering his time.
He is survived by his wife of 37, Khrischell; mother and father-in-law, Glenda (Rayburn) Massengale of Trenton; sister and brother-in-law, Lyneisa (Randy) Dotson of Gadsden, Ala.; uncle, Bob Helton of Lenoir City, Tenn; cousin, Kent Wade of Lenoir City, Tenn.; aunts, Virginia Dillon of Cleveland, Tenn., and Janie (Calvin) Hines of Maryville, Tenn., and their families; sisters, Betty (Ricky) Mundy of Trenton, Trudy Forshee of Whiteside, Tenn., Linda (Larry) York of Rising Fawn, and Marilyn (Butch) Wallin of Rising Fawn.
A celebration of life was Saturday, Sept. 7, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Randy Tinker, Pastor Michael Kilgore and Debra Forshee officiating. Interment was in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

ERIKA LEFEVER
Erika McDougal LeFever, 83, of Wildwood, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024.
Born on September 8, 1940, in Gradenberg, Austria, Erika immigrated to the United States at the age of 18. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she embodied kindness, selflessness, and a welcoming spirit that touched everyone she encountered. She was a devoted parishioner of Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church.
Erika was preceded in death by her husband, George; sons, Eric and Clinton; father, Arthur McDougal; mother, Lois Hubbard McDougal; sister Margareta Osborne-Buchanan.
Survivors include her children, Marci (Jason) Finney and Lauren LeFever; grandchildren, Jessica (Johnny) Holland, Kelsey Hall, Gabe (Jacy) LeFever-Leigh, Eli LeFever, Ada Wall, and Brent Roberts; great-grandchildren, Corbin (MaKenna) Holland, Olivia Holland, Sonnie Roberts, and Ember Roberts; siblings, Mary Lois Richardson, Robert (Suzy) McDougal, Sylvia Congo, and Leslie (Tammy) McDougal; nephews, Mike Osborne and David (Lisa) Osborne; nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A Mass in honor of Erika LeFever was Saturday, Sept. 7, at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church.

KEITH STEPHENS
Wayman Keith Stephens, 68, of Kimball, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024.
Keith was raised in the South Pittsburg, Tenn., area and worked for many years in the construction industry. He loved music and playing guitar, but his greatest enjoyment was serving his country in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army, obtaining the rank of Sargent in 2006. He was also honored to have served as a Green Beret.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Harley Stephens; sister, Joy Johnson; and niece, Lauren Johnson.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Jo Talley; daughter, Bridgette (Chad) Meyer; sons, Austin and Logan (Bailey) Stephens; brothers, Kent (Angela) Stephens, and Jeff (Angie) Stephens; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Graveside services with full military honors will be today, Sept. 11, at 12:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Brother Ronnie Case officiating.

TISH STEPHENS
Janet Letitia “Tish” Stephens, 52, of Lookout Mountain, passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2024.
Tish was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She was a member of Slygo Holiness Church.
Tish was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Patricia Carter; grandparents, Harold Freeman Harmon and Rob and Frances Floyd.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Brad Stephens; children, Lebron and Letrece Stephens; grandmother, Evelyn Joyce Harmon; grandchildren, Isaiah and Taylin Hodge, Kensley and Laken Stephens, Avery and Slade Smith.
Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 6, in the Trenton chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother Donnie Walker officiating. Interment was at Mount Olive Cemetery.
Shane Pace, Cody Pace, Caleb Pace, Chris Veal, Kerry Joe Phillips, and Ben Theune served as pallbearers.

PAULINE STEWART
Pauline Robinson Stewart, 85, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024.
Born Sept. 19, 1938, in Long Island, Ala., Pauline was a lifelong resident of Bryant. Pauline was known for her warm smile, infectious laughter, and kind and welcoming nature. She was a devoted member of the Bryant Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Calvin Stewart; parents, Charlie and Estie Robinson; brothers, J.D. Robinson, Thomas Robinson, and Leon Robinson.
Survivors include her daughters; Donna (William) Randles and Jamicia (Don) Savage; grandchildren, Mandie (Dave) Millican, Ethan Savage, and Mary Kathryn (Parker) Laue; great granddaughter, Annabella Welch; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Interment was at Bryant Cemetery.
