Fatality From Vehicle Pedestrian Accident

On August 1, a vehicle-pedestrian accident resulted in a fatality on GA-136 in front of T and T Golf Carts at the edge of the Trenton city limits.

According to Georgia State Patrol, a Dodge Dakota was traveling on GA-136 while a pedestrian was walking with the flow of traffic. The pedestrian walked directly into the vehicle’s path and was struck and pronounced dead on the scene.

The collision occurred around 5 p.m., and GA-136 west was closed for about 1.75 hours.

Georgia State Patrol is handling the investigation. At press time, the victim’s identity has not been released.
