Harris Wins Democratic Runoff

Shawn Harris will face Marjorie Taylor Greene in the race to represent Georgia’s 14th district in the U.S. House of Representatives.

While 210 Dade citizens voted in the Democratic primary, the number dropped to 164 in the June 18 runoff. Advanced voting garnered 72 ballots, absentee accounted for 17 ballots, and 75 ballots were cast on election day.

Clarence Blalock earned 54 votes from Dade, while Harris earned 110. Across the district, Harris earned 69 percent of the votes.
