TONJYA PRAY
Tonjya Louise Pray, 55, of Bryant, Ala., passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Tonjya was born on May 5, 1969, to the late Dallas May and Rose Butler May. She was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an educator and teacher with e-Kids Learning Center for many years. In her spare time, Tonjya enjoyed traveling with her family and spending as much time with her grandchildren as she could.
In addition to her parents, Tonjya was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Pray.
Survivors include her sons, Doug (Makaylia) Pray and Will (Abby) Pray; brother, Jody May; sister, Robin Williams; grandchildren, Taylen, Aiden, Hallie, and Emma Pray; extended family.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 28, in the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Alabama for their compassionate care of Tonjya during her last days and to e-Kids Learning Center for bringing her immense joy and fulfillment in life.
