Second Annual Celebration of Hope
Photo by Lydia Berglar – A Hand Up Ministry’s dinner, fundraiser, and celebration brought many from the local community and beyond together on April 20th. The first testimony of the evening was by Molly Chitwood who is celebrating two years in recovery. She said, “At last year’s gala, [a young woman] was in that restroom drying her tears…because family restoration hadn’t fully taken place yet…Her family and her children are here and she’s not in that restroom crying because she’s up here on this stage giving this speech tonight. This program was a catalyst for God to redeem me and give me my life back.”
Photo by Lydia Berglar – The 2024 guest speaker was Brodie Croyle, former University of Alabama and Kansas City Chiefs player who now leads Big Oak Ranch. He encouraged those leading and going through A Hand Up, using examples from his football experience.
