The Sentinel Wants to Hear From You

By LYDIA BERGLAR
News Editor

As we begin the new year, the Sentinel wants to know: What do you think about our newspaper? If you would like to offer input, please email editordadesentinel@gmail.com, bring letters by our office (385 Church Street), or mail letters to Dade County Sentinel Editor, PO Box 680, Trenton, GA 30752.

Here is a list of specific things we’d like to know. (Because the Sentinel staff has the most control over the news section, many of these questions are related to that section.)

  • What sections of the paper do you consistently read or skim?
  • What is your favorite section or column?
  • What topics, stories, or concerns in the county would you like the news section to cover?
  • Do you have a favorite type of article? Recent types in the news section include: Local government/school board news, school/student accomplishments, small business stories, outdoor/adventure articles, human interest stories, notifications about events and activities, post-event photos/recaps, volunteer efforts and fundraisers, law enforcement news.
  • Who would you like to hear from in news articles? Local politicians, state representatives, business owners, citizens serving on non-elected boards, citizens outside of government positions, volunteers, and/or other people?

We appreciate all who read the paper and everyone who writes columns, submits press releases, and sends in letters to the editor. Happy New Year!
