Park Family Opens Coffee/Drink Shop

The Alliance for Dade celebrated Trenton’s second coffee shop, Za Brew, with a ribbon cutting on Dec. 16. Located at 12295 South Main Street (directly north of Citizens Bank), the shop will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and 3–5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Carla Park explained that Za Brew’s unique signature is cold brew. She said, “Anything you can make out of espresso, we make out of cold brew.” With plans to add future menu items, the shop will also serve specialty drinks, tea, meal replacement nutritional drinks, an Italian soda-like drink, energy drinks, and bagels shipped overnight from New York. Before settling in Dade County, the Park family traveled for Sean’s construction work and Carla began making cold brew drinks for him, his coworkers, and eventually events and delivery orders. The shop has a zombie apocalypse theme, because the Park’s now 19-year-old son once said, “With these drinks, you could survive a zombie apocalypse!”
