REATHEL ALEXANDER
Reathel (Smith) Alexander, 78, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
Reathel was born in Ider, Ala., on June 11, 1945 to the late Hoyt and Eula Harris. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loyal friend. She was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, her church, and her community. One of her greatest joys in recent years was serving as President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Trenton American Legion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Johnny E. Smith, Sr., siblings, Wanda Harris, Louie Harris and Mildred Harris Duncan; step-son, Greg Alexander.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, John Alexander; children, David (Kim) Smith, Mobile, Ala., Johnny E. (Caroline) Smith, Jr., Lookout Mountain, Tenn., and Lisa (Denny) Reyes, Trenton; sister, Janette (Roger) Wilkinson, Flat Rock, Ala.; step-daughter, Terry Alexander, Charlottesville, Va.; 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; bonus son, Pat Smith, Trenton; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Friday, June 30 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Smith and Pastor Stewart Wilkerson officiating. Interment was in Fuller Cemetery, Ider, Ala.

MARY ANN KIGHT
Mary Ann Kight, 74, of Higdon, Ala., passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Homer and Zillie Shipp Webb. She attended the Full Gospel Church in Flat Rock, Ala., and was employed by Simco Saddlery in Chattanooga for a number of years.
Mrs. Kight was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Leon Kight on May 30, 2023.
Survivors include her sister, Linda (Doug) Eaker, LaFayette; brother-in-law, Billy Ray (Janice) Kight, Higdon, Ala.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Friday, June 30 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Floyd Kilgore and Rev. Doug Eaker officiating. Interment was in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park, Rossville. Gregg Medlock, Scott Dunn, Tyler Dunn, Timothy Kight, Ray Smith, and Justin Caheely served as pallbearers.
